First MTSN GNASH Newsletter for December 18, 2025
The scenario and preview for tonight’s Ensworth/Clarksville game are below the standings and contention trackers.
Recapping last night’s games
Brentwood-BA-USN 2 (1-9-2), Station Camp-Liberty Creek-Nashville Christian 1 (8-3-0)
Beckett Mickle scored both of the Bruins’ goals, while McClain Gregory had the Bison’s lone tally. I can’t sugarcoat this: This is an embarrassing result for Station Camp, and concludes a nightmarish month of December for them, where they lost three out of four games. If they had won this game, they would’ve been two points away from clinching a Predators Cup berth, with a winnable game against JPII coming out of the holiday break. Out of all the teams in the Top 8, they have maybe the toughest closing stretch, having to face - after JPII - MBA, Ravenwood, and Franklin, in that order. Now, they HAVE to win that JPII game to salvage any hope of a Top 4 seed, because I don’t know if they can win any of those last three games. If you were to ask me right now, “Will Station Camp win the GNASH Cup?” I’d have to say no, and I don’t want to, because I would LOVE to see them do it, because it would be someone very different from the Ravenwoods/MBAs/Ensworths/Nolensvilles of the world winning it (yes, I know the Preds Cup is the big prize, but the GNASH Cup is not a bad thing to win; I should also point out Station Camp won the GNASH Cup in 2018-19 in a co-op with Hendersonville and Beech, but Liberty Creek and Nashville Christian have never won any of the GNASH trophies). I’d say they’ve potentially jeopardized a Preds Cup berth period considering how close the Top 9 is, if only Ensworth and Nolensville still didn’t have to play each other on January 12, the result of which may save the Bison’s hopes of competing in the big show. Now, let me praise Brentwood. This win for them means that there are no more winless teams in GNASH this season. That’s great. I don’t think they would’ve finished winless regardless, because they play Clarksville and the Rampage next month, and they’ll probably win one of those games (I’d say they’ll beat Rutherford right now). The third time was finally the charm this season in carrying a one-goal lead into the game’s final minute and seeing it out. And best of all, Andrew Sallee finally got rewarded by his offense (just enough) for doing great work in the crease. Happy holidays, Bruins. You finally put a “1” in the win column this season.
Next game for both teams
Brentwood-BA-USN: January 7 vs. Clarksville Kings @ 7:10 PM @ Centennial A
Station Camp-Liberty Creek-Nashville Christian: January 5 vs. JPII-MLK-GCS @ 6:30 PM @ Centennial A
Nolensville 6 (6-4-2), Clarksville Kings 2 (3-8-0)
Spencer Kern and Logan Campbell each scored twice for the Knights, with their other two goals coming from Henry Cravens and Hank Prosser (his first GNASH goal), while Connor Bailey and PJ Burns scored for the Kings. The result of the game means that Mt. Juliet-Wilson Central-Lebanon will play in the Henry Hine Cup in the postseason.
Next game for both teams
Nolensville: January 9 vs. Hendersonville-Beech-Lawson @ 6:45 PM @ Antioch-North
Clarksville Kings: Tonight vs. Ensworth-Lipscomb-CPA @ 6 PM @ Ford-Clarksville

Scenario for tonight
The Clarksville Kings will end up with a spot in the Henry Hine Cup if they LOSE TO OR TIE WITH Ensworth-Lipscomb-CPA.
Previewing tonight’s game
Ensworth-Lipscomb-CPA (5-4-1) vs. Clarksville Kings (3-8-0) - 6 PM @ Ford-Clarksville
Even without Trex Hooper, I don’t think that the Ice Tigers should have any trouble winning this game. Wouldn’t be surprised if I ended up being wrong. I ended up being wrong last night.
Once this game is complete, we will have completed three-quarters of the regular season, with 90 of 120 games being played.
