Tonight’s broadcast
Ravenwood vs. Father Ryan - 5:40 PM pregame, 5:45 PM faceoff BROADCAST LINK
Recapping last night’s game
Father Ryan 6 (4-7-1), Centennial-FRA 2 (4-9-0)
Gage Hart had a hat trick for the Irish (his second straight), with Holt Thompson, Noah Deffenbaugh, and Sam Halloran (NOT Andrew Hammond, as the GameSheet currently says; Hammond plays for Ryan’s JV team, and was only registered with GNASH so that he could take part in the Senior Game back on August 26) scoring their other goals. Nick Claas and Aiden Gardner had the goals for a Centennial team that was without second-leading scorer Brendan Mitchell (although, I don’t think his absence matters much in the end). The result of the game means that the Cougars will play in the Hine Cup for the third straight season.
Next game for both teams

Montgomery Bell (6-3-2) vs. Tennessee Outlaws (6-5-2) - 5:40 PM @ Bellevue-Crisp
I bet the Big Red didn’t think they’d be this deep into the regular season without having at least clinched a Predators Cup berth. Yes, they aren’t the best team in the league this season, but they’ve had a lot of bright spots, and have been pretty good since the loss to Station Camp in October. That was until this past Monday, when they lost 6-1 to Hendersonville with Hunter Wieck in goal (and the Commandos didn’t have Carter Morrison in the lineup, either). They still have a couple of pretty tough games in January against Franklin and Summit, so, picking up points where they can is vital. At least this is their fourth-to-last game. For their opponents, this is their next-to-last game of the season. The Outlaws jumped out to a 3-0 lead over JPII on Wednesday, only for the Knights to score six unanswered, and the Outlaws fumbled what would’ve been two big points towards Preds Cup qualification, because those two points would’ve brought their total to 16, meaning that only Station Camp could still catch them. Now, it’s back to the drawing board, as they have another tough game to scratch and claw through. But here’s the interesting part: It’s the Big Red’s Senior Night, and both of their goaltenders are seniors. They’ll undoubtedly both get playing time, so, which order to do you have them play in - Aiden Becker starts, and Hunter Wieck finishes? I mean, that’s probably the order they’ll do it in. If Becker starts, the Outlaws will need to jump on him early, then hang on for the rest of the game. This will be a HUGE win for grabs the two points. BTW, this is the 100th game of the regular season.
Pick: MBA
Ravenwood (9-1-1) vs. Father Ryan (4-7-1) - 5:45 PM @ Antioch-North
So, the Irish return to Antioch less than 20 hours after beating Centennial. It looks like neither team will be affected by travel hockey, since the Irish weren’t missing any players last night, and the Jr. Preds 18U AA team that Cooper Hill, Jake Farrell, Liam Powell, Owen Appel, Brady Friedman, and Timo Holan all play for aren’t playing this weekend, so, it seems as if the Raptors won’t be affected by travel, either. That’s a good thing, because I’d hate to see Ravenwood lose the GNASH Cup over a game where they had a short bench (although, I don’t think it would bother them that much; they want the Preds Cup back). So, if that’s the case, the Raptors will be heavy favorites in this one. It’s been nice seeing the Irish have a two-game winning streak after struggling so much since October, but, I don’t like their chances here.
Pick: Ravenwood
