Last night’s broadcast

Recapping last night’s games

The game that was broadcast by MTSN
Ravenwood 4 (10-1-1), Father Ryan 0 (4-8-1)
This game was kinda dull, so I’m not going to give you a play-by-play. Jake Lapinsky scored the game-winning goal in the first, with Jake Farrell, Keaton Moffitt, and Cooper Hill scoring in a short span, in that order, in the second period. Zach Fonnesbeck made some good saves like always, but he didn’t have any offensive support (especially with Gage Hart and Sam Halloran not in the lineup), as the Irish didn’t take advantage of their few opportunities (although, Colin Gower did have to make a big save on Ridgeway Lambert at one point). The result of the game means that Ryan will play in the Henry Hine Cup, and that the Raptors’ showdown with Ensworth on January 13 will mean EVERYTHING.

Next game for both teams
Ravenwood: January 13 vs. Ensworth-Nolensville-Lipscomb @ 8:30 PM @ Bellevue-Crisp
Father Ryan: January 13 vs. Mt. Juliet-Wilson Central-Green Hill @ 7:05 PM @ Centennial A (this will be their Senior Night game)

The night’s other game
Montgomery Bell 5 (7-3-2), Tennessee Outlaws 2 (6-6-2)
Trace Graham scored twice for the Big Red, with their other goals coming from Matthew Moore, Ethan Sides, and James Lehrman (no Senior Night Goals™, unfortunately). Mark White and Elijah Freeman scored the Outlaws’ goals. I’m hesitant to declare that the Big Red clinched a Preds Cup berth, because of how tiebreakers would shake out should they, the Outlaws, and Station Camp all end up with the same points and records, but they (and Summit) will clinch a Predators Cup berth if Station Camp lose to or tie with Indy on Monday. As for the Outlaws, well, they’ve dodged two bullets, with Centennial and Ryan ending up with Hine Cup places, and now, they have to dodge two more (Camp and Indy) with only one game left to play in the regular season. I’ll be honest, I think they’ll be fine, because their two remaining pursuers still have to play Ravenwood (and the Bison also have to play JPII), but they’ll probably be rooting for Station Camp on Monday, because a win for the Bison or the game ending in a tie would mean that the Outlaws would then dodge the Indy bullet. We’re heading for a grandstand finish in the race for the last three Preds Cup berths.

Next game for both teams
Montgomery Bell: January 13 vs. Franklin @ 8:35 PM @ Centennial A
Tennessee Outlaws: January 15 vs. Centennial-FRA @ 8:30 PM @ Centennial B
