Previewing tonight’s game
Station Camp-Liberty Creek (4-6-2) vs. Independence-BA-USN-Nashville Christian (3-7-1) - 8:45 PM @ Antioch-North (MTSN coverage begins at 8:40 PM BROADCAST LINK)
Scenarios for tonight: Montgomery Bell AND Summit-Page will clinch Predators Cup berths if Independence-BA-USN-Nashville Christian WIN this game OR it ends in a TIE.
Independence-BA-USN-Nashville Christian will end up with a spot in the Henry Hine Cup if they LOSE this game OR it ends in a TIE.
This should be a fantastic game. Both teams have improved tremendously as the season’s gone on, and are beginning to peak at the right time. This game was supposed to have been played a month ago yesterday, but was postponed until tonight due to concerns that neither team would have a sufficient amount of players due to travel hockey. That’s a good thing, because a game between these two without their big guns wouldn’t have been as fun to keep up with. Also, Barrett Teasdale was still serving his seven-game suspension for a head contact match penalty against Summit on September 30, so the Eagles would’ve been without their biggest gun anyway. Both teams have a game-changing goal scorer (Teasdale for Indy, Toby Mehaffy for Station Camp), and they have some good playmakers, as well (Landric Mayeski for Indy, Jadon Robertson and Joey Siciliano for Station Camp), along with a decent goaltender (Trent Pavlik for Indy, Miller Campbell for Station Camp). But looking at both teams’ stats, the Bison have a little bit more depth, as they have seven players with five or more points, whereas the Eagles only have four. This game will come down to the team that makes the big play when the time calls. The result, no matter which one, will be devastating for someone.
Pick: Station Camp
