MTSN GNASH Newsletter for December 22, 2024

THE LAST REGULAR EDITION OF 2024!

There are no games this week because of Christmas, so, let’s move on.

Standings

So, remember how I pondered in Tuesday’s newsletter if Montgomery Bell had perhaps actually clinched a Predators Cup berth? Well, they have not, as any tiebreakers in a potential three-way tie between they, the Outlaws, and Station Camp would have to be resolved by total goal differential.

Schedule for the next week of games

MTSN will announce its broadcast schedule for this week in the January 12 newsletter. A team that is having a Senior Night ceremony prior to their game that night is underlined. A team that is playing their LAST GAME of the regular season is in italics.

Monday, January 13
JPII-MLK vs. Station Camp-Liberty Creek - 5:30 PM @ Centennial A
Father Ryan vs. Mt. Juliet-Wilson Central-Green Hill - 7:05 PM @ Centennial A
Brentwood vs. Independence-BA-USN-Nashville Christian - 7:40 PM @ Centennial B
Ensworth-Nolensville-Lipscomb vs. Ravenwood - 8:30 PM @ Bellevue-Crisp
Montgomery Bell vs. Franklin - 8:35 PM @ Centennial A

Wednesday, January 15
All games are being played @ Centennial.
Independence-BA-USN-Nashville Christian vs. Montgomery County Rangers - 7:10 PM on Rink A
Tennessee Outlaws vs. Centennial-FRA - 8:30 PM on Rink B
JPII-MLK vs. Hendersonville-Beech-Lawson - 8:45 PM on Rink A

JPII and Hendersonville will be playing for the Rock Island Cup, a trophy that will be annually awarded to the winner of the JPII/Hendersonville game. If the game ends in a tie, I’m guessing they’ll have a shootout to determine who gets the trophy, but the game would officially go down as a tie in the GNASH record book. As far as I know, this is the first time a GNASH rivalry has put up a trophy for the winner; not even Brentwood and Ravenwood did that in the peak years of their rivalry.

Thursday, January 16
Franklin vs. Summit-Page - 8:30 PM @ Antioch-North
