MTSN GNASH Newsletter for December 3, 2025

Since we are broadcasting both of tonight’s games, the broadcast links are embedded in the tops of the game previews.

Scenario for tonight

Brentwood-BA-USN will be eliminated from contention for the GNASH Cup regular season championship if Station Camp-Liberty Creek-Nashville Christian DEFEAT Father Ryan.

Previewing tonight’s games

Both games are being played @ Centennial A.

Station Camp-Liberty Creek-Nashville Christian (7-1-0) vs. Father Ryan (5-3-0) - 7:10 PM
(Pregame begins at 7:05 PM BROADCAST LINK)
I only realized earlier this evening before typing this, but today marks nine months since the Henry Hine Cup Final If Necessary Game between these two teams, when Father Ryan defeated what was then Station Camp-Liberty Creek 7-5 to take the trophy home. Fast forward to today, and both teams find themselves halfway through the subsequent regular season, looking like they’ll both be in the Predators Cup come February. They’ve had very different seasons up to this point: The Irish have won five games, with margins of victory ranging from two to four goals. Meanwhile, the Bison had a perfect start to the season, winning their first seven games until losing to Mt. Juliet on Monday. I don’t think anyone expected Mt. Juliet to be the team that broke their perfect start. The Bison actually led 2-1 after one, but the Bears won the game in the second period, outscoring Camp 3-1 to be up 4-2. The Bison outshot MJ 8-3 in the third, but still got outscored 1-0, as Jordan Antar completed his hat trick. It honestly wouldn’t surprise me if the Bison bounced back and won this game tonight; the season’s been that wacky. A quick check of the stats shows that the Bison have six players with five or more points, while the Irish have four; but there’s a big drop-off from the Irish’s fourth-leading scorer (Curtis Newman, with eight points from 3G and 5A), down to a group of four who each have two points (with Emma Causey being the only goal-scorer among them). Meanwhile, the Bison’s sixth-leading scorer, McClain Gregory (eight points from 4G and 4A), is four points ahead of the next scorer on the list, Gavin Cole. Another common stat the two have is that they have a goalie with a perfect record: Jack Karpynec is a perfect 4-0-0 for the Irish, while Carter Gilleece has won all five games he’s played in the paint this season for Camp. If taking a period off cost the Bison on Monday, they absolutely can’t take a period off against Father Ryan, especially knowing how lethal the Gage Hart-Hudson Laux combo is. If the Irish win this game, then beat Clarksville on Friday (like they should), they’ll be one point behind Ravenwood just like the Bison are at the moment.

Game prediction: Father Ryan

Tennessee Outlaws (2-5-1) vs. Hendersonville-Beech-Lawson (4-3-1) - 8:40 PM
(Pregame begins at 8:35 PM BROADCAST LINK)
The Commandos are in the enviable position of sitting in eighth place at the moment, and holding down the last Predators Cup spot. Tonight is a big opportunity to throw two more points into the vault, as the Commandos’ next two games before the holiday break are against Indy and MBA. They’re going up against an Outlaws team on a three-game losing streak who will have to win at least five of their last seven to get into the Preds Cup, unlike last season, where they banked enough points to not have a regular season-ending four-game losing streak take them out of the Top 8. Make no mistake, the Commandos can’t sit back against this Outlaws team, especially with the dangerous combo of Josh Kuehn and Clive Keeler, and Dawson Reynolds can steal a game in goal, but after making up a 6-1 deficit to get a tie against Ensworth before Thanksgiving, this Commandos team looks like one that aren’t going to sit back and wait for the game to come to them.

Once this game is complete, we’ll have played 70 games this regular season, meaning that we’ll have 50 remaining.

Game prediction: Hendersonville
