Last night’s broadcast

Recapping last night’s games

The game that was broadcast by MTSN
Ravenwood 2 (8-1-1), Summit-Page 2 (6-2-1)
Wow! What a game! The game remained goalless until 3:40 left in the second, when Grady Fernan hammered a one-timer into the Summit net from the high slot. Just 53 seconds later, the Spartans tied the game, when a multiple-shot scramble at the Ravenwood net ended with Madden Chandler back-handing a rebound into the back of the net while standing at its right-hand side. Nearly 1:40 later, Cooper Hill gave Ravenwood the lead back, when he got the puck in front of the Summit net, and roofed it, meaning the Raptors led 2-1 after two. With 2:17 left in the game, and the Spartans on the power play, Hunter Haley got a centering pass standing just inside the right circle next to the slot, and one-timed it between the feet of Ravenwood goalie Colin Gower to tie the game. Summit goalie Brady Tessier then made two HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGEEEEEEE breakaway saves on Mason Reed, then Gower made one himself on Zach Ellis. An incredible game, and Summit showed the blueprint on how to make things hard for Ravenwood. The biggest thing they did was match their speed; almost every time a Ravenwood player would get to the puck, a Summit player would be right there with them. A statement performance by the Spartans, who play an Ensworth team that’s been struggling to score recently on Monday, but first…

Next game for both teams
Ravenwood: Next Wednesday vs. Hendersonville-Beech-Lawson @ 8:30 PM @ Centennial B
Summit-Page: Tomorrow vs. Tennessee Outlaws @ 5:45 PM @ Antioch-North (this will be their Senior Night game)

The night’s other games
Station Camp-Liberty Creek 5 (3-6-2), Father Ryan 2 (2-7-1)
Joey Siciliano scored four goals for the Bison, with the other one coming from Dom DeMaria. Marek McCullars and Gage Hart scored for the Irish. I’ve typed enough about Ryan’s struggles this season; let’s talk about the fact that their schedule for next week is BRUTAL! They play THREE TIMES next week, including twice within 24 hours! If Summit can get at least a point from their game against the Outlaws tomorrow, then losing just one of those games would mean Ryan are headed to the Hine Cup for the first time since 2022. Now, let’s talk about the Bison. Are they suddenly emerging as the challengers to the Outlaws for the last Hine Cup spot? If they’d managed to find a winning goal against the Outlaws in the teams’ 2-2 tie back on November 6, things would be getting very interesting. Still, there’s a chance of that actually happening, as the Outlaws now go into a three-game stretch where they play Summit, JPII, and MBA. Station Camp’s next opponent? Well, let’s just say they probably aren’t losing to them.

Next game for both teams
Station Camp-Liberty Creek: Next Wednesday vs. Montgomery County Rangers @ 7:10 PM @ Centennial A
Father Ryan: Monday vs. Brentwood @ 7:40 PM @ Centennial A or B

Hendersonville-Beech-Lawson 11 (8-2-1), Montgomery County Rangers 3 (0-11-0)
Landon Croft led the Commandos scoring with a hat trick, Merrick Mott scored twice, and the other six goals came from Ty Ellis, Britton Smith, Alex Williams, Caden Sisco, Carter Morrison, and Christian Dickens. The Rangers’ goals were scored by Connor Bailey, Jay Morrow, and PJ Burns, none of whom are seniors, so, no Senior Night goals for MoCo (surprising, because some of those seniors have a lot of GNASH experience). The Rangers have now surpassed 100 goals allowed this season. Welcome back to the Predators Cup, Hendersonville. It’s been a while.

Next game for both teams
Hendersonville-Beech-Lawson: Monday vs. Montgomery Bell @ 8:35 PM @ Centennial A or B
Montgomery County Rangers: Monday vs. Rutherford Rampage @ 7:05 PM @ Centennial A or B

Independence-BA-USN-Nashville Christian 5 (3-7-1), Centennial-FRA 1 (4-7-0)
Barrett Teasdale scored twice in his return from his seven-game suspension; Landric Mayeski also scored twice for the Eagles, with their other goal coming from Bryson Patton. Aiden Gardner scored the Cougars’ lone goal. The result meant that Franklin, Hendersonville, AND Ravenwood all clinched Predators Cup berths. Not much else to say about this one other than if Centennial lose both of their games next week, they will be a Hine Cup team for the third straight season.

Next game for both teams
Independence-BA-USN-Nashville Christian: December 16 vs. Station Camp-Liberty Creek @ 8:45 PM @ Antioch-North
Centennial-FRA: Monday vs. JPII-MLK @ 5:30 PM @ Centennial A or B
