MTSN GNASH Newsletter for December 5, 2025

No broadcast tonight.

Previewing tonight’s games

JPII-MLK-GCS (1-5-2) vs. Brentwood-BA-USN (0-7-1) - 5 PM @ Bellevue-Crisp
Here is another one of the few games (on paper, at least) that the Bruins will have to win this season. The Bruins have been eliminated from GNASH Cup contention, and are hurtling towards a Hine Cup spot (in fact, they can end up with one on Monday if results of a few games go a certain way). They’re going up against a JPII team looking to shake off the blowout they suffered at the hands of MBA on Monday. I wouldn’t be surprised if Ethan Hickerson got another go in goal, but I wonder if Collier Owen will be in the crease tonight simply because both teams will likely be in the Hine Cup, and this is the way to see the competition (there’s a decent chance JPII could be the Hine Cup 1 seed)?

Game prediction: JPII

Ensworth-Lipscomb-CPA (3-3-1) vs. Rutherford Rampage (1-7-1) - 5 PM @ Antioch-North
Another two points that the Ice Tigers should pick up as they continue to play catch-up with everyone else, however, the Rampage are not easy to put away, as demonstrated by the fact that they managed to score five against Page nearly three weeks ago. If Ensworth win, then they’ll be just the one point behind their former co-op partners Nolensville for the last Preds Cup berth.

Game prediction: Ensworth

Father Ryan (5-4-0) vs. Clarksville Kings (3-5-0) - 6:45 PM @ Bellevue-Crisp
The Irish suffered a disappointing loss to Station Camp on Wednesday night, losing 2-0 in a game where both goals were scored in the third period. If they’d won that game, then won this game tonight, they’d be heading into the weekend one point behind Ravenwood, tied with the Bison. Alas, they are now standing beside Nolensville, looking over their shoulder at Independence. However, this game is winnable for the Irish, as is their next one against the Rampage on Monday. Win them both, and they’ll reach seven wins, and they should be safe and snug inside the Top 8 for the rest of the regular season.

Game prediction: Father Ryan
