Last night’s broadcast

Recapping last night’s game

Henry Hine Cup Final
Station Camp-Liberty Creek 4, Father Ryan 2
Marshall McMurtry opened the scoring with just over two minutes left in the first, with the Bison on the power play, when he took a shot from the right point that landed in the bottom right-hand corner of the Irish net, and Station Camp led 1-0 after one. Nearly two minutes into the second, Andrew Grooms had the puck behind the Irish net and found Dom DeMaria all alone in front; he fed DeMaria the puck, and DeMaria shot it off the glove of Father Ryan goalie Zach Fonnesbeck and into the back of the net, to give the Bison a 2-0 lead. Just over four minutes later, the Irish got on the board from a power play, as Colin Sullivan banged in the rebound from a saved Curtis Newman shot. 67 seconds later, the Irish tied the game, when Hudson Laux led a 2-on-1 into the Station Camp zone, and found Michael Jaskoski on the left wing, and Jaskoski ripped the puck into the Bison net from the left circle, and the game was tied 2-2 as both teams returned to the dressing room for the ice cut. 51 seconds into the third, McClain Gregory scored the winning goal, when he took a shot from in tight that leaked through Fonnesbeck and in. Grooms added an empty netter with 79 seconds to go. Great game from the Bison; much better defense than last week. Except for a 67-second span in the second, they shut the Irish down, and didn’t panic when they came back to tie the game. They showed no signs of fatigue after playing Brentwood the night before.

Next game for both teams: Henry Hine Cup Final If Necessary Game, Monday @ 7 PM @ Centennial A
