Last night’s broadcast

Recapping last night’s games

The game that was broadcast by MTSN
Father Ryan 9 (9-5-0), Mt. Juliet-Wilson Central-Lebanon 0 (4-10-0)
I’m just going to do a generic recap instead of one with play-by-play since the game got so out of hand in the third (scoring-wise, anyway; there were a couple of tense moments, but nothing really bad in terms of fighting). Gage Hart scored four of the Irish’s goals, while Hudson Laux, Emma Causey, Brendan Malloy, and Sam Halloran also contributed to the final score, with Marek McCullars scoring a Game-Winning Senior Night Goal™ near the midway point of the first. Ryan are now just one point away from a Predators Cup berth, and can clinch it before taking on Hendersonville next Friday if Nolensville don’t beat JPII next Wednesday. Meanwhile, the Bears can still claim the Hine Cup 3 seed, but they have to win their regular season finale against MBA next Wednesday (not likely, I hate to say), and have JPII and the Outlaws lose their remaining games (JPII have two left, the Outlaws just one) to do so. Otherwise, they will be the Hine Cup 5 seed, as the two teams immediately behind them can’t surpass them: the Kings have completed the regular season, while Brentwood can still tie MJ on points, but can only finish with three wins, whereas the Bears already have four.

Next game for both teams (regular season finale for both)
Father Ryan: Next Friday vs. Hendersonville-Beech-Lawson @ 6:45 PM @ Bellevue-Crisp
Mt. Juliet-Wilson Central-Lebanon: Next Wednesday vs. Montgomery Bell @ 8:40 PM @ Centennial A

The night’s other game
Page-Summit 11 (9-3-2), Clarksville Kings 0 (3-12-0)
Hunter Haley scored four goals for the Spartriots, and Hudson Halters scored twice, while Camden Mullen, Madden Chandler, Brayden Owen, Landen Ellis, and Liam Garner scored the other five goals. The Spartriots clinch a Predators Cup berth with the win, and are still in GNASH Cup contention. Meanwhile, the Kings finish the regular season on a 10-game losing streak after starting the season 3-2-0, a real shame for a team that looked like it had actually improved by more than a little bit from last season. Brentwood now only need to tie the Rampage on January 26 to take the Hine Cup 6 seed from the Kings, and hand them the 7.

Next game for both teams
Page-Summit: January 26 vs. Tennessee Outlaws @ 8:15 PM @ Centennial A (this will be their final game of the regular season)
Clarksville Kings: Henry Hine Cup first round game, date and opponent TBD
