MTSN GNASH Newsletter for January 27, 2026
This morning’s update
I know I posted this on our social media pages yesterday afternoon, but here it is again for anyone who missed it: The Ford Ice Centers (as in, all three of them), will once again be closed today, along with Centennial, which had already announced on Sunday that it would closed yesterday and today.
If the rinks are open tomorrow, three of the five games will be held, with another to take place on Thursday. The league is also looking into staging one of the games in Nolensville at Gary Force Acura Ice Arena; I’m thinking that this is the Brentwood/Rampage game, because it’s the only one of the five that isn’t being preceded by a Senior Night ceremony, as both teams have already had theirs, and, thus, it doesn’t require a lot of seats for extra family members (the rink in Nolensville has two or three bleachers that are only three rows high).
This would be the first-ever GNASH game staged at the Nolensville facility, and the first GNASH game held in Williamson County since February 3, 2016, the last night of action at A-Game Sportsplex (although, no one knew at the time that we wouldn’t be going there again after that night; we were expecting to have playoff games there before it got rid of the ice). Nolensville and Ravenwood have been having their GNASH-booked practices in Nolensville this season, the first GNASH-booked sessions of any kind at the facility, which opened in September 2021, and served as the home of the Red River Spartans of the USPHL when the team initially formed - as the Nashville Spartans - before they moved to Clarksville.

The 2026 GNASH postseason will begin soon, and we are offering playoff-only memberships! As usual, they will be the newsletter shoutout, or the Package of Perks! However, instead of scrolling down to “Become a member”, make your payment at the top of our Buymeacoffee page where it says, “Support Middle Tennessee Sports Network” (screenshot below). The cost is $7.50 for a newsletter shoutout, and $15 for a Package of Perks. There will be no monthly payment for these packages; they are one-time only memberships (I can’t disable monthly payments; that’s why I’m having you do it differently). If you have already paid for a membership, you do not need to do anything, as your membership is good for the whole season. For those who purchase these packages, newsletter shoutouts will not start until after the regular season. As always, if you purchase the Package of Perks, please let me know what team you support, so I can shout you out on-air, and now what games to send you as downloadable MP3s.
