Tonight’s broadcast

Ravenwood vs. Station Camp-Liberty Creek - 8:40 PM pregame, 8:45 PM faceoff BROADCAST LINK

Senior Night ceremonies

Mt. Juliet-Wilson Central-Green Hill and Station Camp-Liberty Creek are having the last two Senior Night ceremonies of the season tonight.

Regular season finales

Father Ryan, Mt. Juliet-Wilson Central-Green Hill, Montgomery County Rangers, Ravenwood, and Station Camp-Liberty Creek are wrapping up the regular season tonight.

Scenarios for tonight

Predators Cup berth scenarios
Station Camp-Liberty Creek will clinch the eighth and final Predators Cup berth (and the 8 seed) if they DEFEAT OR TIE WITH Ravenwood OR LOSE BY ONE OR TWO GOALS.

The Tennessee Outlaws will clinch the eighth and final Predators Cup berth (and the 8 seed) if Station Camp-Liberty Creek LOSE TO Ravenwood BY THREE OR MORE GOALS.

Whichever team misses out on the last Predators Cup berth will get the final Henry Hine Cup spot, and be the 1 seed for that.

Predators Cup seeding scenarios
Ravenwood will clinch the 2 seed for the Predators Cup if they DEFEAT OR TIE WITH Station Camp-Liberty Creek, OR LOSE BY ONE GOAL if Summit-Page DEFEAT Father Ryan BY ONE GOAL.

Previewing tonight’s games

All games are being played @ Centennial. The game that MTSN will broadcast is in BOLD.

Summit-Page (9-3-1) vs. Father Ryan (5-8-1) - 7:10 PM on Rink A
If the Spartans win either tonight or tomorrow night against MBA, they’ll grab a Top 4 seed for the Preds Cup. The thing for me is, this could be a game where they get tripped up by a goaltending stopping everything, like their losses to Brentwood and Ensworth. All it would take for the Irish to win would be Jack Karpynec making a bunch of saves on GNASH’s second-best offense, and Gage Hart scoring on one of the Irish’s few chances, and you have the makings of an upset. It would be quite the setback for Summit, who have won six out of their last eight games since the Brentwood loss, the two non-wins being the tie with Ravenwood and the loss to Ensworth. The Irish have won three of their last four, the non-win being the loss to Ravenwood. They’ve got to get something out of this game in order to grab the Hine Cup 2 seed. I wouldn’t put it past them, but it feels like that Summit are on a perhaps unstoppable roll right now.

Pick: Summit

Montgomery County Rangers (0-14-0) vs. Mt. Juliet-Wilson Central-Green Hill (1-11-2) - 8:30 PM on Rink B
The two teams that will be the 7 and 8 seeds for the Hine Cup finally meet. I wouldn’t be surprised if this game devolved into a goalfest. Not much more to say about this one, really.

Pick: Mt. Juliet

Ravenwood (11-2-1) vs. Station Camp-Liberty Creek (6-6-2) - 8:45 PM on Rink A
So, this is it. The game that will complete the fields for both postseason tournaments. The question is, who will Ravenwood have between the pipes: Colin Gower or Reese Mackenzie? It was Gower in goal for the Raptors on Monday against Indy, which was kind of surprising, as that normally would’ve been a game Mackenzie would’ve started earlier in the season. It seems that James Gately might be getting Gower ready to be the one Ravenwood will lean on when they play their first round game next Monday. As good as Mackenzie has been this season (and she was good against Ensworth, despite a bad second period), the Bison do have some big guns that could get to her: Joey Siciliano, Jadon Robertson, and Toby Mehaffy, just to name a few. The Bison are on a five-game winning streak coming into tonight, and, if I’m honest, if I were a fan of any of the teams that have already qualified for the Hine Cup, I would prefer to see the Outlaws end up with the Hine Cup 1 seed, because I believe that Station Camp would absolutely be the favorites to win it, given how well they’ve been playing lately. I would imagine that Miller Campbell will be in the crease for the Bison, as he’s been their best goalie this season. Is he prepared to deal with the constant offensive attacks from the Raptors, though? We’ll see.

Pick: Ravenwood by a big enough margin where the Outlaws will get the final Predators Cup berth
