Tonight’s broadcast schedule

Independence-Centennial vs. Franklin - 4:55 PM pregame, 5 PM faceoff BROADCAST LINK
Hendersonville-Beech-Lawson vs. Nolensville - 6:40 PM pregame, 6:45 PM faceoff BROADCAST LINK

Scenarios for tonight

Independence-Centennial will be confirmed for a place in the Henry Hine Cup if they LOSE TO OR TIE WITH Franklin.

Ravenwood will clinch a Predators Cup berth if they DEFEAT OR TIE WITH Ensworth-Lipscomb-CPA, or in the event that they LOSE, would clinch one if Hendersonville-Beech-Lawson DEFEAT Nolensville.

Hendersonville-Beech-Lawson will clinch a Predators Cup berth if they DEFEAT Nolensville.

The WINNER of the Father Ryan/Page-Summit game will clinch a Predators Cup berth if Hendersonville-Beech-Lawson DEFEAT Nolensville.

Nolensville will be eliminated from contention for the GNASH Cup regular season championship if they LOSE TO OR TIE WITH Hendersonville-Beech-Lawson (if Ravenwood LOSE TO Ensworth).

If Ravenwood DEFEAT Ensworth-Lipscomb-CPA, the following teams would be eliminated from contention for the GNASH Cup regular season championship:
-Ensworth
-Nolensville
-the Father Ryan/Page LOSER (just Page if that game ENDS IN A TIE)
-Franklin if they LOSE TO Independence-Centennial
-Hendersonville-Beech-Lawson if they LOSE TO Nolensville

If the Ravenwood/Ensworth game ENDS IN A TIE, the following teams would be eliminated from GNASH Cup contention:
-Nolensville
-Franklin if they LOSE TO Independence-Centennial

Previewing tonight’s games

The games that MTSN will broadcast are in BOLD.

Father Ryan (8-4-0) vs. Page-Summit (7-3-2) - 5 PM @ Bellevue-Crisp
So, tonight’s games are a little hard to gauge. Why? Because it’s Friday, and GNASH stopped scheduling regular games on Friday because teams tend to miss players because of travel hockey. As I’m typing this, I’m not sure if anyone is going to miss this game in particular: Steven Henry is unsure of who (if anyone) will be out for Father Ryan, and the Page-Summit Instagram account hasn’t responded to my DM asking the same. So, I’ll have to pretend that both teams will be a full song. The Irish are on a three-game winning streak coming into tonight; they’ve outscored their opposition (all three supplemental teams, I should note) in that winning streak 21-3, all three of those allowed goals coming against the Outlaws back on Monday. Page are obviously much better than those three teams, despite their seven-game unbeaten streak being snapped by MBA back on Monday. The Spartriots took two bad penalties in the first five minutes of the game, and the Big Red scored on both. They fought back and tied the game in the second, only for Trace Graham to score the winner 27 seconds later. Ryan, of course, beat MBA three months ago, so, they’re more than capable of beating Page (they also have a better record against the current Top 8 than MBA do: three wins and three losses compared to two wins, three losses, and two ties). I’m feeling the Irish in this one, honestly.

Game prediction: Father Ryan

Independence-Centennial (4-6-2) vs. Franklin (7-3-2) - 5 PM @ Antioch-North
In addition to Hank [Harrington] Walker, who is serving the second of his two-game suspension for getting into a fight with Owen Dembouski in Indy’s 7-0 win over the Rampage on December 15, the Eagles will also be without Easton Romano, Jill Traa, Owen Brought, and Spencer Pacholko. Franklin head coach Todd Grosse was unsure of who he’d be missing at the time that I asked, although, Wyatt Gerischer will be suspended for this game for his fighting major on Monday against Ravenwood, while Aidan Murphy will miss the next five games for his actions at the end of Monday’s game: one game for the fighting major, one game for a charging major, one game for four penalties in a game, and two for getting two majors in a game. Grosse is suspended for four: one for his team breaching the 12-penalty minimum, and three for his team breaching the three major/match penalty limit for the second time this season. So, both teams are missing key players due to suspension. Fortunately for Indy, they’ll still have Cash Branyan, Aiden Gardner, and Nick Claas in the lineup tonight, unless something changes with them, too. Franklin are obviously deeper, but Indy have already beaten Page and Ravenwood this season. Will this be win #3 against a Top 8 team? We’ll see.

Game prediction: Franklin

Ravenwood (9-2-1) vs. Ensworth-Lipscomb-CPA (7-4-1) - 6:45 PM @ Bellevue-Crisp
This is a big game for the Raptors, because, while a win would get them a Preds Cup berth, it would also put them within two points of the GNASH Cup regular season championship. I don’t know who they’ll be missing (aside from Timo Holan, suspended for getting into that game-ending fight with Aidan Murphy on Monday), but the Ice Tigers will be without Clayton Roach, William Towery, and Austin Riegle. That means they’ll still have Trex Hooper, Hudson Honeybone, Logan Green, and others, as well as getting Jax Dooner back from suspension. Ravenwood have a lot of travel players, and I wouldn’t be shocked if they were very shorthanded like the Outlaws game last season. I’m gonna say an Ice Tigers triumph for this one.

Game prediction: Ensworth

Hendersonville-Beech-Lawson (8-3-1) vs. Nolensville (6-4-2) - 6:45 PM @ Antioch-North
Nolensville will be missing just Heath Hudy, as all their other travel players don’t head out until Saturday morning. The Commandos will be without Merrick Mott and Gideon Drobnick due to family travel, as well as Alex Williams and another undisclosed player due to the flu. Mott and Drobnick are two big absences for Hendersonville, but their Top 4 scorers (Caden Sisco, Landon Croft, Matthew Almeida, and Caleb Carlance, in that order) should be present. I’d say that Nolensville’s core four is better than Hendersonville’s, but the Commandos have quite a few more experienced players than the Knights. The Commandos come into this game on a six-game unbeaten streak, and a four-game winning streak, while Nolensville are playing for the first time since losing to Ravenwood on December 15. This is a pivotal game for Nolensville, because if they lose, a subsequent loss to Ensworth on Monday would put them in the Hine Cup. Yep. One-third of the reigning GNASH and Preds Cups champs could be playing in the Hine Cup. But, I don’t think they’re losing this one tonight.

Game prediction: Nolensville
