Last night’s broadcasts

Recapping last night’s games

The games that were broadcast by MTSN
Page-Summit 5 (4-2-1), Ensworth-Lipscomb-CPA 1 (2-3-0)
Conlee Meeks scored the opening goal with just over five minutes left in the first, when he took a shot from the top of the right circle that hit the top corner of the right-hand side of the Ensworth net. Nearly three minutes later, Madden Chandler made it 2-0, when he carried the puck down the Ensworth slot, waited for the last defender (William Towery) to bite, and when he did, carried the puck to the left circle, and fired it into the bottom corner on the left-hand side of the net. 1:45 later, Chandler stole the puck in the Ensworth zone, carried it to the front of the net, and passed it off to Aiden Meyer, who roofed it from in front, and it was 3-0 Spartriots after one. Nearly five minutes into the second, Brayden Owen made it 4-0, when he redirected a Hunter Haley centering pass from the left-wing corner into the bottom left-hand corner of the Ice Tigers net. Nearly seven minutes after that, Ensworth got on the board on the power play; Henry Oeser took a one-timer from the left circle that went over the Page net, hit off the glass, then came back up the slot, where Logan Green buried the rebound in the bottom left-hand corner of the net, as goalie Justin Iannuccilli was laying on his left side, leaving the net wide open on the left-hand side, and Page led 4-1 after two. Chandler scored his second goal - and the game’s last - with just under three minutes to go, when Owen found him in the middle lane at center, and fed him the puck, allowing Chandler to go on a breakaway, and shoot it through Reuben Allen’s five-hole.

Next game for both teams

Ensworth-Lipscomb-CPA: Next Monday vs. Hendersonville-Beech-Lawson @ 8:15 PM @ Bellevue-Crisp

Father Ryan 4 (5-2-0), JPII-MLK-GCS 2 (1-4-1)
Ridgeway Lambert scored the opening goal just 67 seconds in, when he carried the puck into the JPII zone, took a shot from the high slot, and it went straight into the roof. 35 seconds later, Hudson Laux passed the puck up to Curtis Newman at the left point, and he took a one-timer that buzzed past JPII goalie Collier Owen and into the back of the net before he saw it. Nearly six minutes later, Oscar Ford got the Knights on the board, when he shot the puck into the bottom corner of the left-hand side of the Irish net from the left circle. 5:36 later, Gage Hart reextended Ryan’s lead to two, when he took a shot from the right edge of the JPII slot that beat Owen five-hole. The 3-1 score held up until just under six minutes left in the game, when Dylan Anderson one-timed a Carter Bahorik pass into the roof of the Irish net from the left edge of the slot, but Hart added an empty-net power play tally with four seconds left to seal the win.

The night’s other games
Station Camp-Liberty Creek-Nashville Christian 4 (6-0-0), Independence-Centennial 1 (2-4-1)
Dom DeMaria scored twice for the Bison, with their other goals coming from Andrew Grooms and Josh Peffer, while Easton Romano scored the Eagles’ only goal, his first in GNASH. Looking at the GameSheet, this was a pure goaltending battle between David Busby and Britton Watson through the first two periods, with the game still at 0-0 after one, and the Bison only leading 1-0 after two, before scoring three more in the third (the last one was an empty-netter). Final shots on goal were even at 24 apiece.

Next game for both teams
Station Camp-Liberty Creek-Nashville Christian: Next Monday vs. Tennessee Outlaws @ 6:30 PM @ Centennial A
Independence-Centennial: November 19 vs. JPII-MLK-GCS @ 8:40 PM @ Centennial A

Montgomery Bell 9 (4-2-1), Rutherford Rampage 2 (1-5-1)
Abe Lasher and Duke D’Alba provided twin hat tricks for the Big Red, with their other goals coming from Cortland Klett, Conner Mazzoni, and Hunter Musser (how long has it been since Musser scored?). Cooper Feasel and Harry Segars IV scored for the Rampage.

Next game for both teams
Montgomery Bell: Next Monday vs. Nolensville @ 6:30 PM @ Bellevue-Crisp
Rutherford Rampage: Next Monday vs. Page-Summit @ 8:15 PM @ Centennial A

Franklin 6 (4-2-1), Tennessee Outlaws 2 (2-4-1)
Ryan Mannion had a hat trick (plus one assist) for the Admirals, while their other three goals came from Quinn Spencer, Ryan Sherman (his first GNASH goal), and Chase Wagers (is that his first GNASH goal?), while Clive Keeler and Josh Kuehn scored for the Outlaws. The Outlaws actually took a 2-1 lead past the midway point of the second, with Franklin’s offense finally getting going towards the end of it. There were 14 total penalties in the third, and BOTH goalies (Dawson Reynolds and Grayson Butters) were called for roughing. Alice Cox got called for cross-checking. The Admirals finished the game with 11 total penalties (four in the second, and seven in the third; there were no penalties at all in the first), one shy of getting head coach Todd Grosse what would’ve been his second suspension of the season for having 12 penalties called against them in a single game. And next week, Franklin finally get Michael Mannion back, as his six-game suspension finally came to an end after last night.

Next game for both teams
Franklin: November 19 vs. Clarksville Kings @ 7:10 PM @ Centennial A
Tennessee Outlaws: Next Monday vs. Station Camp-Liberty Creek-Nashville Christian @ 6:30 PM @ Centennial A

Hendersonville-Beech-Lawson 7 (4-3-0), Brentwood-BA-USN 5 (0-5-1)
This one ended up being closer than I thought it would. Caden Sisco had FOUR goals for the Commandos, with their others coming from Gideon Drobnick, Caleb Carlance, and Merrick Mott. Beckett Mickle scored twice for the Bruins, his first two GNASH goals (I thought he’d already scored, but I guess someone applied for a scoring adjustment), with their other goals coming from Brody Wales, Brody Bohman, and Joey Fried. Cade Garrett made his debut in goal for the Commandos, collecting his first GNASH win. The GameSheet says that Hendersonville lobbed 56 shots on goal. Brentwood trailed 5-3 after two, tied the game in the third, only for Sisco to scored the game-winner just past the last frame’s halfway point.
