Last night’s broadcasts

Recapping last night’s games

The games that were broadcast by MTSN
Tennessee Outlaws 5, (4-3-1), Rutherford Rampage 0 (4-6-0)
Josh Kuehn scored the game’s opening goal just 98 seconds into the first period, when he buried the rebound from a saved Clive Keeler shot. The Outlaws held on to the 1-0 lead through the end of the first. Just over four minutes into the second, Dalton Alejandro made it 2-0, when he caught up to a loose puck sliding down the Rampage right wing, carried it across the front of the net from right-to-left, and backhanded it in. Nearly eight minutes later, Cam Miles put the Outlaws 3-0 when he managed to score on the rebound from his first saved shot. Nearly six minutes into the third, Jaxon McKnight scored on a breakaway, going from left-to-right across the front of the Rampage net, then backhanding it in; it was justice for McKnight, who had a beautiful redirected goal in the second disallowed because of a dislodged net. Kuehn scored the game’s last goal with 81 seconds left, when he hammered in the rebound from a saved James Daniel shot. A great win for the Outlaws, who jump over the Rampage, and take their place in the Top 8.

Next game for both teams
Tennessee Outlaws: Friday vs. Ensworth-Nolensville-Lipscomb @ 5:40 PM @ Bellevue-Crisp
Rutherford Rampage: Next Monday vs. Station Camp-Liberty Creek @ 8:35 PM @ Centennial A

Hendersonville-Beech-Lawson 6 (7-2-1), Father Ryan 0 (2-5-1)
Carter Morrison scored the opening (and game-winning) goal nearly nine minutes into the first, when he raced from deep in the Commandos zone, pushed the puck around a backchecking Brendan Malloy, sped past, got the puck back, then shot it into the back of the net from right in front. 35 seconds into the second, Gideon Drobnick made it 2-0 Hendersonville, when he buried the rebound from a saved Landon Croft shot into the wide open left-hand side of the Irish net. Then, in the third, the game fell apart for Father Ryan. Nearly three minutes into the last period, Caden Sisco deflected a Colin Smith shot from the blue line into the back of the net from right in front. 2:40 later, Braden Rose one-timed a Merrick Mott centering pass into the roof of the net, seconds after Mott just missed the net by inches. Nearly three minutes after that, Drobnick scored his second of the game, once again potting a rebound, but this time, from a saved Colin Smith shot. Sisco scored his second goal - and the game’s last - when he shot the puck into the back of the net from right in front. There’s no way Hendersonville are getting pushed out of the Top 8 with seven wins, especially with their next game being against the Rangers; if they show even half the effort they gave last night, they’ll win easily. But for now, they get to rest.

Next game for both teams
Hendersonville-Beech-Lawson: December 4 vs. Montgomery County Rangers @ 7:30 PM @ Ford-Clarksville
Father Ryan: Thursday vs. Franklin @ 8:30 PM @ Antioch-North

The night’s other games
Montgomery Bell 2 (6-2-1), Centennial-FRA 0 (3-5-0)
Matthew Moore and Trace Graham had the goals. Drew Stratton kept Centennial in the game, but they didn’t reward him.

Next game for both teams
Montgomery Bell: Next Monday vs. Ensworth-Nolensville-Lipscomb @ 5:30 PM @ Centennial A
Centennial-FRA: Next Monday vs. Montgomery County Rangers @ 8:30 PM @ Bellevue-Crisp

Franklin 6 (7-2-0), Mt. Juliet-Wilson Central-Green Hill 0 (0-8-2)
Will McCormick had a hat trick (somehow, all three goals were unassisted; I have a hard time believing that), with the other goals coming from Sheng Morton-Cox, Ryan Mannion, and David Unger. The Admirals beat Mt. Juliet 6-0 for the third straight game, and for the second straight game, it was on Senior Night.

Next game for both teams
Franklin: Thursday vs. Father Ryan @ 8:30 PM @ Antioch-North
Mt. Juliet-Wilson Central-Green Hill: November 20 vs. Brentwood @ 8:45 PM @ Centennial A

Brentwood 3 (3-5-1), Station Camp-Liberty Creek 2 (1-6-2)
Zane Cesarone scored twice for the Bruins, with Jack Schultz getting the other goal. Joey Siciliano and Jadon Robertson scored the Bison’s goals. Andrew Sallee once again saved the day for Brentwood, as he had to make a game-saving stop on Robertson right before the final buzzer (I took my time packing up, and watched most of the game).

Next game for both teams
Brentwood: Tomorrow vs. JPII-MLK @ 8:30 PM @ Centennial B
Station Camp-Liberty Creek: Next Monday vs. Rutherford Rampage @ 8:35 PM @ Centennial A
