MTSN GNASH Newsletter for November 19, 2025

No broadcast tonight.

Previewing tonight’s games

Both games will be played @ Centennial A.

Clarksville Kings (3-4-0) vs. Franklin (4-2-1) - 7:10 PM
After a six-game suspension for an incident in their season opener against Mt. Juliet that spanned just more than a month-and-a-half, Michael Mannion finally returns to the lineup for the Admirals. It isn’t a stretch to say that his absence hurt, especially in the losses to Hendersonville and Nolensville. Now, he needs to be on his best behavior for at least the next four games, so he can rack up the required minimum of five games played in order to participate in the postseason. Tonight, they face a Clarksville team that, after winning three of their first five games, has been outscored 15-0 in their last two games (with 11 of those being scored by Ravenwood), and it probably won’t slow down tonight (although, I don’t see the Admirals hanging 11 on them).

Game prediction: Franklin

Independence-Centennial (2-4-1) vs. JPII-MLK-GCS (1-4-1) - 8:40 PM
Last Saturday marked one month since Indy 6-2 win over Page. Since then, they are winless in their last four, and lost their last three. I don’t think anyone would’ve seen that coming after how they won that game in such dominant fashion. In fact, they’ve only scored seven goals in these last four games, one more than they scored against the Spartriots. Tonight, they face a one-win JPII team whose four losses have all come against teams in the Top 8 (and three of those losses are to teams in the Top 4). JPII seem to be getting better as the season goes along, although they still won’t get good enough to be a Preds Cup team. This should be a decent goaltending battle between David Busby and Collier Owen, but I think there’s more cohesion in the JPII offense at the moment.

Game prediction: JPII

Standings

The GNASH Cup contention tracker will return in tomorrow’s newsletter; I want all games played each week before updating it, to properly assess everyone’s chances. Don’t forget that a postseason tournament qualification tracker will debut in Thursday’s letter, as well.
