Previewing tonight’s games
The games that MTSN will broadcast are in BOLD.
 Mt. Juliet-Wilson Central-Lebanon (0-6-0) vs. Independence-Centennial (2-2-1) - 5 PM @ Centennial A
Indy started off the season well: They lost a last-second heartbreaker to Nolensville, then beat Father Ryan in a goaltending duel, then dominated Page, before having to scratch out a tie against a Brentwood team being propped up by a good goalie, then losing to a Clarksville team who’s good form has been a pleasant surprise in the first third of the regular season. Now, they’re going up against winless Mt. Juliet. This feels like a must-win for Indy; I know that’s crazy to say, because they have two quality wins against a talented Page and a Father Ryan that have won three straight since that September 29 loss (and have a decent chance to make it four straight tonight, I’d say). But you never want to be a winless team’s first victim, and despite being winless, MJ have knocked on the door of victory plenty this season. Early last month, they were tied late with Hendersonville, before Braden Rose scored the game-winner; just a couple of weeks ago, they outshot the Outlaws by almost double, only for Dawson Reynolds to build a brick wall, and they lost 4-3; then last Monday, they and the Kings were tied 5-5 after two, only for Clarksville to score three in the third. It feels like a win will come for the Bears eventually. Will it be tonight? One would think that David Busby will shake off his one poor showing so far this season, having been quite consistent until last Wednesday, giving up two goals in four of his first five starts, the exception being the shutout of the Irish. Cash Branyan is back in the lineup for Indy after serving his one-game suspension, so, that should give them a boost.
Game prediction: Indy
Nolensville (3-1-1) vs. Station Camp-Liberty Creek-Nashville Christian (4-0-0) - 6:30 PM @ Centennial A
So, the Knights were finally beaten last week by a good Father Ryan team who not only beat Bingston Soundara, but chased him, as just a couple minutes after giving up the 2-0 goal, he gave way to Isaac Wenck, which is kind of an odd move to me. Being down 2-0 in the second isn’t a death sentence. What’s most shocking is that Nolensville got shut out. They’re very young, but they still have Spencer Kern, Jackson Malleus-Mayer, Charlie Bohnert, and Henry Cravens until the end of this season, and the fact that none of them could get at least one puck past Jack Karpynec is a surprise. Now, they’re going up against GNASH’s only remaining perfect team (Ravenwood are unbeaten, but have a tie; Station Camp have won all of their games). Through four games last season, the Bison were 0-3-1, then got their first win of the season against MBA, who decided to look past their opponents, and start Aiden Becker. Camp are also two-thirds of the way to matching last season’s win total of six. They’ve beaten very good Page and Hendersonville teams in their last two games, and yes, I think they can beat Nolensville, too. The keys here are the same as they always are against the Knights: Solve Soundara, and limit the core four’s chances. They’ve got a lot of offense: Dom DeMaria, Tobyn Mehaffy, Dominic Reetz, and Tommy Siciliano. They’ve got a great defenseman in Andrew Grooms, and Carter Gilleece has been very good in goal so far, giving up only six tallies (though four of those were to the Rampage, which makes one maybe tilt their head a bit when you also see that he only gave one goal each to Page and Hendersonville). I think this could be one of the best games this season.
Game prediction: Nolensville
 Franklin (2-2-1) vs. Father Ryan (4-0-1) - 6:30 PM @ Bellevue-Crisp
The Admirals snapped their two-game losing streak last Monday with a 2-2 tie with MBA, but probably came away thinking they should’ve won the game, having had multiple 1-on-1 chances against Tripp Bland, only for him to turn them all away. Now, they’re facing a Father Ryan team that is on a roll, winning three straight, and is a legitimate contender for the top spot in the league. Gage Hart is leading the Irish in scoring, with 12 points, and eight of those are goals. That isn’t a surprise. Hudson Laux has been playing like a top defenseman should, chipping in seven points, with four of those being goals. But it’s Ridgeway Lambert having a breakout season: He has nine points, one more than he did last season, with seven of those being assists (that matches how many assists he had in 2024-25). But here’s where I worry about Ryan’s small roster: They’re going up against a Franklin team that loves to be physical. They’ll have to be ready for that. A long-term injury from a hit to someone like Hart or Laux could be a big setback. Michael Mannion is serving the fifth of his six-game suspension tonight.
Game prediction: Father Ryan
 Montgomery Bell (2-2-1) vs. Brentwood-BA-USN (0-3-1) - 7:40 PM @ Centennial B
I’m not going to talk too much about this game, because the only way Brentwood will win is if Andrew Sallee shuts the Big Red out, and the Bruins can get at least one past Tripp Bland. But considering that MBA hung nine on Sallee last season, and a lot of those MBA players from that game are on this season’s team, I don’t see that happening.
Game prediction: MBA
Hendersonville-Beech-Lawson (3-2-0) vs. Page-Summit (2-2-1) - 8:15 PM @ Centennial A
Hendersonville won this game last season, and they sat atop the GNASH standings for a couple of weeks afterward. Doing so won’t get them that this time, since a win would have them sitting a point back of Ravenwood (and two behind the Irish if they beat Franklin), but, it would be another big win in the chest for this season. The Commandos beat Franklin just a few weeks ago, and I think that Page have similar depth to the Admirals. Could this game go in the same direction? The Spartriots finally snapped their own two-game losing skid last Monday against Brentwood, and they get Aiden Meyer back in the lineup tonight after his one-game suspension. But they need to avoid falling into the traps they fell into in their losses to Indy and Station Camp, mostly, they were playing too much as individuals, from my point of view.
Game prediction: Page
 Ensworth-Lipscomb-CPA (1-2-0) vs. Tennessee Outlaws (2-2-1) - 8:15 PM @ Bellevue-Crisp
Both teams are on two-game streaks coming in: the Ice Tigers have lost their last two, while the Outlaws have won their last two. Ensworth clearly have more depth, but the Outlaws have the better goaltending. The Ice Tigers will have to play defense to prevent the upset, especially when Josh Keuhn and Clive Keeler are on the ice. And Trex Hooper and the rest of the offense will need to get to Dawson Reynolds early in order to not let him get in a groove. The Ice Tigers have sat on the Father Ryan loss for two weeks (that was the only game they played in all of October, by the way); there’s no doubt that they’ll be driven to snap this two-game skid.
Game prediction: Ensworth
