MTSN GNASH Newsletter for November 6, 2025
Recapping last night’s games
JPII-MLK-GCS 4 (1-3-1), Clarksville Kings 0 (3-3-0)
Michael McEver, Ian Sullivan, Oscar Ford, and Reese Davidson scored the goals for the Knights. This leaves Brentwood as the only winless team left. Even with Brock and CJ Hasse in the lineup, the JPII defense held the Kings to only 11 shots on goal. The Kings have obviously improved, but this result shows that they still have a ways to go. I can’t see them upsetting a top team this season (and, unfortunately, they now go through a gauntlet of big guns, starting next week with a rocket launcher). As for JPII, it’s good to shed the goose egg, but I can’t see them stringing enough wins together to sneak into the Preds Cup. They should be a favorite for the Hine Cup top seed with a performance like this one, though.
Next game for both teams
JPII-MLK-GCS: Monday vs. Father Ryan @ 8:15 PM @ Bellevue-Crisp
Clarksville Kings: Next Wednesday vs. Ravenwood @ 7:10 PM @ Centennial A
Ravenwood 7 (5-0-1), Rutherford Rampage 1 (1-4-1)
Grady Fernan and Jake Farrell each had hat tricks for the Raptors, with Canon Kiser scoring their other goal, while Myles Thompson had the Rampage’s lone tally. About as expected, although the GameSheet says the Raptors started kind of slow, going up 1-0, then Thompson’s goal tied it before Farrell scored his first goal and Fernan his second to have Ravenwood up 3-1 after one.
Next game for both teams
Ravenwood: Next Wednesday vs. Clarksville Kings @ 7:10 PM @ Centennial A
Rutherford Rampage: Monday vs. Montgomery Bell @ 6:30 PM @ Centennial A
