Last night’s broadcasts
Recapping last night’s games
The games that were broadcast by MTSN
Nolensville 6 (2-0-1), Rutherford Rampage 1 (0-2-1)
Charlie Bohnert scored twice for the Knights, including the game-winning goal, with their other goals coming from Spencer Kern, Jackson Malleus-Mayer, Emmett Szakos, and Thomas Renegar, who scored his first GNASH goal. Graham Sourek broke the shutout with a second left in the game to score the Rampage’s only goal, backhanding a rebound from a saved Harry Segars IV shot into the back of the net.
Next game for both teams
Nolensville: Next Monday vs. Franklin @ 8:15 PM @ Centennial A
Rutherford Rampage: October 22 vs. Clarksville Kings @ 7:10 PM @ Centennial A
Hendersonville-Beech-Lawson 2, Franklin 0 (both 2-1-0 after this game)
No goals were scored in the first period. With just over 2:30 left in the second, Matthew Almeida scored the game-winning goal on the power play, roofing the puck from the top of the right circle, and it was 1-0 Commandos after two. Landon Croft added an empty-netter with 39 seconds left in the game. Griffen Rumbaugh was terrific in goal for the Commandos, posting a 28-save shutout. The Admirals got better as the game went on, but Rumbaugh shut them down. This is a stumble for the Admirals, no doubt, and now, they have two very big games in front of them that they have to play without Michael Mannion.
Next game for both teams
Hendersonville-Beech-Lawson: Next Monday vs. JPII-MLK-GCS @ 7:40 PM @ Centennial B (Rock Castle Cup game)
Franklin: Next Monday vs. Nolensville @ 8:15 PM @ Centennial A
The night’s other game
Ravenwood 8 (2-0-1), Mt. Juliet-Wilson Central-Lebanon 2 (0-4-0)
Grady Fernan and Keaton Moffitt each scored twice for the Raptors, with their other goals coming from Jake Farrell, Canon Kiser, Cooper Friedman, and Lucas Voyles, which was his first GNASH goal. Parker Triplett and Anthony Giampaolo scored the Bears’ goals, the latter scoring in his first game back from suspension. This is MJ’s third loss to a top team (the others being Franklin and Hendersonville). I give them a chance to win their next game, but, you can pretty much pencil them into the Hine Cup at this point.
Next game for both teams
Ravenwood: Next Monday vs. Montgomery Bell @ 8:15 PM @ Bellevue-Crisp
Mt. Juliet-Wilson Central-Lebanon: October 22 vs. Tennessee Outlaws @ 8:40 PM @ Centennial A
