MTSN GNASH Newsletter for October 2, 2025

Last night’s broadcasts

Recapping last night’s games

Station Camp-Liberty Creek-Nashville Christian 9 (2-0-0), Clarksville Kings 1 (0-1-0)
I’m not going to do a full recap of this game, because the Kings only had 12 skaters. Dom DeMaria led all scorers with four goals, while Andrew Grooms and Toby Mehaffy each had two goals, and the Bison’s other goal came from Tommy Siciliano. Meanwhile, Aidan Hasse scored Clarksville’s goal, his first GNASH tally. Britton Watson makes his GNASH debut in goal for the Bison, and gets his first win. Allow me to apologize for [very] incorrectly assuming in yesterday’s newsletter that Connor Bailey wasn’t going to play for the Kings this season; he is, and he played last night. His paperwork was late to go through. I will also say that the Kings are much faster this season. That’s what happens when you have your own place to work on your game, and a full offseason to put in the work. I wouldn’t be surprised if they shocked somebody this season. Adding a couple more skaters would help.

Next game for both teams
Station Camp-Liberty Creek-Nashville Christian: October 20 vs. Page-Summit @ 6:30 PM @ Centennial A
Clarksville Kings: Next Monday vs. Tennessee Outlaws @ 6 PM @ Centennial A

Hendersonville-Beech-Lawson 4 (1-1-0), Mt. Juliet-Wilson Central-Lebanon 3 (0-3-0)
Jordan Antar opened the scoring just 23 seconds in, when the puck broke for him at center, and he carried down the Hendersonville slot, and backhanded it past Commandos goalie Justin Smith. Nearly four minutes later, Carter Spencer got a backdoor pass standing at the left-hand side of the Hendersonville net; he took a shot, which Smith saved, then buried the rebound. One second shy of exactly three minutes later, Caleb Carlance got Hendersonville on the board, when he took a shot from the right faceoff dot that went into the roof of the net. Nearly two minutes later, Matthew Almeida scored his first GNASH goal and tied the game, when he took a shot from the right half-wall that ended up in the roof of the net. The score of 2-2 held up all the way through the second period. Nearly 4:30 into the third, the Commandos took the lead on the power play, when Gideon Drobnick closed in on the left-hand side of the net, and roofed the puck. Just over three minutes later, MJ got a power play, and right off a draw in the Hendersonville zone, Antar scored his second goal of the game, when he fired the puck into the top right-hand corner from the top of the right circle, just five seconds after the man advantage started. But 3:30 later, Braden Rose scored the game-winner, when he took a shot from the left circle that went in off inside of the post to Shepard Hulsey’s left. Hendersonville win a game they should have on paper, and Mt. Juliet squander a chance to pick up some much-needed points before facing one of the league’s top teams. I’ve got a feeling this was the only time these two teams will see each other this season.
