Last night’s broadcast

Recapping last night’s games

The game that was broadcast by MTSN

Ensworth-Nolensville-Lipscomb 2 (5-0-0), Father Ryan 0 (1-3-1)
No goals were scored through the first two periods. Trex Hooper scored the game-winning goal just 18 seconds into the third, when he shot the puck into the roof of the net from the left edge of the slot, just inside the left circle. Jackson Malleus-Mayer added an empty netter with 48 seconds left. Jack Karpynec made his second straight start for the Fighting Irish, making 34 saves on 35 shots (the 36th was the empty netter). For the second time this season, the Irish goalie makes some big saves, but his teammates can’t steal the win (the other time was the season opener against JPII, which they lost 3-2).

Next game for both teams
Ensworth-Nolensville-Lipscomb: Next Monday vs. Rutherford Rampage @ 7:05 PM @ Centennial A
Father Ryan: Next Monday vs. Independence-BA-USN-Nashville Christian @ 8:35 PM @ Centennial A

The night’s other games

Rutherford Rampage 7 (2-3-0), Mt. Juliet-Wilson Central-Green Hill 3 (0-5-2)
Tucker Wilhelm and William Haynes each scored twice for the Rampage, with the other goals coming from Brennen Tellez, Josh Wolfe, and Cooper Feasel. Two of the Bears’ goals came from Carter Spencer and Shaurya Arora. Apparently, the other came from backup goaltender Jack Boyett, who must’ve scored from the bench, because the box score says that Kaz Cronrath got the start in goal. So, the Bears are definitely heading for the Hine Cup at this rate. And yes, Anthony Giampaolo was suspended for the match penalty he got last week: Three games. He served the first of those last night.

Next game for both teams
Rutherford Rampage: Thursday vs. Centennial-FRA @ 8:30 PM @ Antioch-North
Mt. Juliet-Wilson Central-Green Hill: Next Monday vs. JPII-MLK @ 8:30 PM @ Bellevue-Crisp

Station Camp-Liberty Creek 4 (1-3-1), Montgomery Bell 2 (2-1-1)
Andrew Grooms scored twice for the Bison, while Jadon Robertson had their first goal, and Gavin Cole scored the game-winner. The Big Red jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first with goals from Andrew Frech and Ethan Moore. Nick Campbell was terrific in net for the Bison, making 33 saves on 35 shots. Keith Grooms’s first win as Station Camp head coach is against one of the league’s blue bloods. This is a bad result for MBA, who look like last year’s team without Lee Guy. They could certainly use him right now. They have to face Ravenwood next week; that might go badly for them. First up, though, JPII.

Next game for both teams
Station Camp-Liberty Creek: Tomorrow vs. Summit-Page @ 7:10 PM @ Centennial A
Montgomery Bell: Tomorrow vs. JPII-MLK @ 8:30 PM @ Centennial B

Brentwood 3 (2-3-1), Summit-Page 1 (3-2-0)
Callahan Fielder scored twice for the Bruins, while Jack Schultz had the game-winner. Aiden Garner had the Spartans’ lone tally. Shoutout to Bruins goalie Andrew Sallee, who had 42 saves on 43 shots, but Brentwood only had eight themselves. This is a VERY alarming result for the Spartans, who have now lost back-to-back games to teams they should’ve beaten, and now, they have to face a Station Camp team on a high from last night.

Next game for both teams
Brentwood: November 4 vs. Montgomery Bell @ 7:40 @ Centennial B
Summit-Page: Tomorrow night vs. Station Camp-Liberty Creek @ 7:10 PM @ Centennial A

Ravenwood 9 (4-1-0), Montgomery County Rangers 0 (0-6-0)
Not as bad as I feared it would be. Cooper Hill had a hat trick for the Raptors, with their other goals coming from Cooper Friedman, Keaton Moffitt, Grady Fernan, Jake Lapinsky, Liam Powell, and Brady Friedman. Reese Mackenzie made her third start in goal for the Raptors, picking up a five-save shutout, her second blank page of the season.

Next game for both teams
Ravenwood: Next Monday vs. Montgomery Bell @ 5:30 PM @ Centennial A
Montgomery County Rangers: October 30 vs. Tennessee Outlaws @ 8:45 PM @ Centennial A
