Tonight’s broadcast

Montgomery Bell vs. Ravenwood - 5:25 PM pregame, 5:30 PM faceoff BROADCAST LINK

Previewing tonight’s games

The game that MTSN is broadcasting is in BOLD.

Montgomery Bell (3-1-1) vs. Ravenwood (4-1-0) - 5:30 PM @ Centennial A
So, the Big Red bounced back from their loss to Station Camp last Monday with a comfortable 5-2 win over JPII on Wednesday. Now, they face their biggest test of the season: A Ravenwood at full-power. These two teams met four times last season: Twice in the regular season, and twice in the playoffs. The Big Red won the first three meetings, but the Raptors won the one that mattered the most: The Predators Cup Losers’ Bracket Final. This is an MBA team without Lee Guy, and they’re facing a Ravenwood team that still has Cooper Hill and Liam Powell on it for a few more months. Hunter Wieck is going to need to be perfect if MBA are going to steal this one. I just don’t see it happening.

Pick: Ravenwood

Rutherford Rampage (3-3-0) vs. Ensworth-Nolensville-Lipscomb (5-0-0) - 7:05 PM @ Centennial A
The Rampage take on the only team left in the league with a perfect record. Unfortunately, they’ve already lost 9-1 to both Summit and Ravenwood, and I fear that might happen again tonight, especially against a team that hung 15 on the Rangers.

Pick: Ensworth

Summit-Page (4-2-0) vs. Centennial-FRA (2-3-0) - 7:40 PM @ Centennial B
This is potentially another trap game for the Spartans to get caught in. They did snap the two-game losing streak in the win against Station Camp last Wednesday, but the Bison didn’t make it easy for them. If Drew Stratton plays in goal for Centennial tonight, this could be a repeat of Summit’s game against Brentwood last Monday: Being unable to beat a good goalie on a team with less depth than them. They’re going to have to be ready for the challenge; I think they will be.

Pick: Summit

Mt. Juliet-Wilson Central-Green Hill (0-5-2) vs. JPII-MLK (4-1-0) - 8:30 PM @ Bellevue-Crisp
So, a Bears team having a bad year now have to play a JPII team no doubt mad about losing to MBA last week. This might get ugly for them. Anthony Giampaolo is serving the second of his three-game suspension for receiving an unsportmanslike conduct match penalty against Indy two weeks ago.

Pick: JPII

Independence-BA-USN-Nashville Christian (0-5-1) vs. Father Ryan (1-3-1) - 8:35 PM @ Centennial A
I don’t think the Irish should have much trouble picking up their second win of the season. Barrett Teasdale is serving the fourth of his seven-game suspension for receiving a head contact major and a match penalty against Summit on September 30.

Pick: Father Ryan
