Last night’s broadcast
Recapping last night’s games
The game that was broadcast by MTSN
Franklin 2, Montgomery Bell 2 (both 2-2-1 after this game)
No goals were scored in the first period. Nearly 2:30 into the second, Ethan Sides scored the game’s opening goal, when Abe Lasher found him at the left-hand side of the Franklin net, passed him the puck, and Sides backhanded it in. This apparently was a power play goal, because Baker McCormick was sent to the box for cross-checking, even though the penalty time was never put on the board, and the clock was stuck at 11:53 for over a minute before the scorekeeper finally restarted it; in fact, the penalty wasn’t put on the GameSheet until after Sides had scored. Just over five minutes later, and with MBA on another power play, Ryan Sherman made sure to keep the puck in the MBA zone, and set up a shorthanded chance for Hank Hayes. The puck came out in front, and Hayes whiffed on the first attempt, but followed the puck up the slot, and fired it in through the five-hole of Tripp Bland on the second try. Just over 80 seconds later, with MBA on another PP, Duke D’Alba took a shot from the right edge of the slot that Grayson Butters blockered away, but Butters didn’t know where the rebound was; D’Alba did, and he moved down the slot to near the right-hand post, knocked the puck down with his left hand, and shot it into the back of the net, and the 2-1 score lasted until late in the third. With 62 seconds left, the Admirals found themselves on the power play, and just seconds after pulling Butters for the extra attacker, Hayes took a shot from the left wing boards near the bottom of the left circle that hit the top corner on the left-hand side of the net to tie the game, and have it finish that way. Both teams snap their two games losing streaks, but will be frustrated that they couldn’t get the win, especially Franklin, who had many 1-on-1 chances against Bland across the first two periods, but he stopped every single one.
 Next game for both teams

Montgomery Bell: Next Monday vs. Brentwood-BA-USN @ 7:40 PM @ Centennial B
The night’s other games
Ravenwood 5 (4-0-1), JPII-MLK-GCS 1 (0-3-1)
Cooper Friedman scored twice for the Raptors, with the other three goals coming from Anthony Maltese, Jake Farrell, and Oliver Lutz, while Oscar Ford had the Knights’ lone tally. Interesting start to this one: No goals were scored in the first, and JPII actually outshot the Raptors 7-3 in the opening frame, before they woke up in the second period. Ethan Hickerson made 18 saves on 23 Ravenwood shots in his GNASH debut, which, against a team with that much talent, isn’t bad. With the Knights having three losses from their first four games, I struggle to see them jelling in time to maybe sneak into the Preds Cup, but they should be proud that they kept Ravenwood pinned down for as long as they did.
 Next game for both teams
Ravenwood: November 5 vs. Rutherford Rampage @ 8:40 PM @ Centennial A
JPII-MLK-GCS: November 5 vs. Clarksville Kings @ 7:10 PM @ Centennial A
 Page-Summit 5 (2-2-1), Brentwood-BA-USN 1 (0-3-1)
Hudson Halters scored twice for the Spartriots, with their other goals coming from Elijah Selby, Hunter Haley, and Conlee Meeks, with Bryce Akright potting the Bruins’ only goal. So, Page emphatically snap the two-game losing streak against a team they absolutely should beat in the manner that they did tonight, and avenge the loss to Brentwood from last season. But is it already too late for them to climb back into the GNASH Cup regular season championship race?
 Next game for both teams
Page-Summit: Next Monday vs. Hendersonville-Beech-Lawson @ 8:15 PM @ Centennial A
Brentwood-BA-USN: Next Monday vs. Montgomery Bell @ 7:40 PM @ Centennial B
 Clarksville Kings 8 (2-2-0), Mt. Juliet-Wilson Central-Lebanon 6 (0-6-0)
Aidan Hasse scored FIVE GOALS for the Kings, with their other goals coming from his twin brothers, Brock and Camden, and Colton Beshires. Jackson Blevins had a hat trick for the Bears, and their other goals came from Wynston Hudson (his first GNASH goal), Carter Spencer, and Ethan Smith. According to the GameSheet, MJ led 4-2 after the first, only for the Kings to outscore them 6-2 in the other two periods. How long until the Bears end up with the first Hine Cup spot?
 Next game for both teams
Clarksville Kings: Tomorrow vs. Independence-Centennial @ 7:10 PM @ Centennial A
Mt. Juliet-Wilson Central-Lebanon: Next Monday vs. Independence-Centennial @ 5 PM @ Centennial A
 Father Ryan 4 (4-1-0), Nolensville 0 (3-1-1)
Gage Hart scored twice for the Fighting Irish, with their other goals coming from Hudson Laux and Ridgeway Lambert (his was the game-winner). I’m not surprised the Irish won, but I’m surprised they won in this manner. A 33-save shutout for Jack Karpynec. The Irish only had 19 shots. Bingston Soundara started the game, but was replaced a couple of minutes past the halfway point by Isaac Wenck. It’s Nolensville’s first loss since Ensworth-Nolensville-Lipscomb lost Game 1 of the Predators Cup Final on March 4, 2024.
 Next game for both teams
Father Ryan: Next Monday vs. Franklin @ 6:30 PM @ Bellevue-Crisp
Nolensville: Next Monday vs. Station Camp-Liberty Creek-Nashville Christian @ 6:30 PM @ Centennial A
 Station Camp-Liberty Creek-Nashville Christian 2 (4-0-0), Hendersonville-Beech-Lawson 1 (3-2-0)
Joshua Peffer and Merritt Freeman scored for the Bison, while Braden Rose had the Commandos’ only score. The Bison’s perfect start to the season continues. What a story they are! If they beat their next opponent, it might have everyone looking over their shoulders for them.
 Next game for both teams

Hendersonville-Beech-Lawson: Next Monday vs. Page-Summit @ 8:15 PM @ Centennial A
