Previewing tonight’s games
MTSN is not broadcasting any of tonight’s games. All games are being played at Centennial.
Franklin (5-1-0) vs. Station Camp-Liberty Creek (1-4-1) - 7:10 PM on Rink A
I could honestly see the Bison winning this game; as I have said before, Franklin aren’t as good as they were last year, they’ve already failed their first test against a top team (JPII two weeks ago), and struggled to beat the Rampage last month. Goaltending choice for the Admirals will be key here, as well as being prepared to deal with Andrew Grooms and Joey Siciliano. Still, I think Franklin can get it over the line.
Pick: Franklin
Montgomery Bell (3-2-1) vs. Rutherford Rampage (3-4-0) - 8:30 PM on Rink B
I liked the way the Big Red looked against Ravenwood on Monday; yes, they lost 3-1, but they didn’t completely rely on Hunter Wieck to keep them in the game. They were also very good on backchecking, and, as the third period went on, they had great looks at the Raptors net in trying to tie the game. Maybe they’re slowly getting better. This might be another tough game against a top team for the Rampage.
Pick: MBA
Montgomery County Rangers (0-6-0) vs. Tennessee Outlaws (2-3-0) - 8:45 PM on Rink A
All the former Outlaws who defected to the Rangers face their old team tonight. I think the Outlaws should win comfortably. Jack Haight is serving the third of his four-game suspension for actions from the Rangers’ game against Franklin on September 30.
Pick: Outlaws
