Previewing tonight’s game

The Big Red are coming off of a 2-2 tie with Father Ryan last Monday in a game that they probably expected to win (and I, admittedly, expected them to win it, too). For the most part, MBA’s big guns struggled to get space, with the Irish clogging up shooting lanes and blocking shots. They also spent too much time trying to get to the front of the net rather than just taking a shot once they had the opportunity. If Indy’s goaltending were as good as Ryan’s, I’d be concerned about MBA tonight, too. In their game against JPII last Wednesday, the Eagles actually got out to a 1-0 lead early, and held it until Clayton Roach scored the first of his four goals just under six minutes later. It remained 1-1 until just past the midway of the second, when Joe Hiller scored the game-winner, and the Knights piled on the goals from there. I wouldn’t be surprised if the same happened tonight.
