Last night’s MTSN broadcasts

Recapping last night’s games

The games that were broadcast by MTSN

JPII-MLK 7 (2-0-0), Montgomery County Rangers 0 (0-3-0)
Ian Sullivan scored the game-winning goal just 1:59 into the first. From there, the Knights scored six more in the following order: Benjamin Parrish (his first GNASH goal), Coleman Glidewell, Reese Davidson, Joe Hiller, Clayton Roach, and Winston Walker (his first GNASH goal, as well). The Rangers were held to just five shots on goal (none in the second period); they will definitely surpass 100 goals allowed, but then, how much higher will that number go once they reach it? Fantastic start to the season for the Knights.

Next game for both teams
JPII-MLK: October 2 vs. Independence-BA-USN-Nashville Christian @ 7:10 PM @ Centennial A
Montgomery County Rangers: Next Monday vs. Franklin @ 8:30 PM @ Bellevue-Crisp

Tennessee Outlaws 2 (1-1-0), Independence-BA-USN-Nashville Christian 0 (0-2-0)
No goals were scored in the first period. Just 83 seconds into the second, Joshua Kuehn scored the game-winning goal on the power play on a netmouth scramble. Just over five minutes later, Clive Keeler scored when he completed a backdoor play, redirecting a perfect centering pass from Malakai Hogan. The Outlaws held on from there. Dawson Reynolds notches a 25-save shutout in the blue paint for Tennessee.

Next game for both teams
Tennessee Outlaws: October 10 vs. Father Ryan @ 8:30 PM @ Antioch-North
Independence-BA-USN-Nashville Christian: Next Monday vs. Summit-Page @ 8:30 PM @ Centennial B

The night’s other games

Rutherford Rampage 4 (1-1-0), Father Ryan 2 (0-2-0)
For the second straight game, Gage Hart scored first for the Irish, and for the second straight game, the Irish squandered a first period lead. Kelvin McClendon tied the game up for the Rampage, but Colin Sullivan put the Irish back up just 35 seconds later. The Rampage won the game in the second with goals from Mason Matthews, Harold Segars (I think that’s his first GNASH tally), and Eddie Maze. Great bounce back for RuCo after being destroyed by Summit last Monday. Father Ryan only had 14 shots on goal; this is going to be a tough season for them, it seems.

Next game for both teams
Rutherford Rampage: Tomorrow vs. Franklin @ 8:30 PM @ Centennial B
Father Ryan: Next Monday vs. Montgomery Bell @ 5:30 PM @ Centennial B

Franklin 6 (2-0-0), Hendersonville-Beech-Lawson 1 (1-1-0)
The Admirals scored two goals in each period. Ryan Mannion led the way in scoring, with two goals, his first two in GNASH. Mykyta Popov and Wyatt Gerischer also scored their first GNASH goals. Houston Veile and Alex Broy had the other tallies for Franklin. Carter Morrison had the Commandos’ lone goal. Another great start to the season for Franklin; what will they do with it this time?

Next game for both teams
Franklin: Tomorrow vs. Rutherford Rampage @ 8:30 PM @ Centennial B
Hendersonville-Beech-Lawson: Tomorrow vs. Brentwood @ 8:40 PM @ Centennial A

Summit-Page 7 (2-0-0), Mt. Juliet-Wilson Central-Green Hill 2 (0-1-1)
The Bears had a 2-0 lead after the first, as Shaurya Arora scored his first two GNASH goals. But in the second, that 2-0 lead became a distant memory, as the Spartans scored five goals: two each for Madden Chandler and Zach Ellis, with Jacob Rodrigue chipping in the other. In the third period, Brayden Owen and Landen Ellis scored for Summit. Great start to the season for the Spartans; can’t wait to see them against the likes of Ravenwood, Ensworth, and MBA.

Next game for both teams
Summit-Page: Next Monday vs. Independence-BA-USN-Nashville Christian @ 8:30 PM @ Centennial B
Mt. Juliet-Wilson Central-Green Hill: Tomorrow vs. Ensworth-Nolensville-Lipscomb @ 7:10 PM @ Centennial A
