Tonight’s MTSN broadcast
Father Ryan vs. Montgomery Bell - 5:20 PM pregame, 5:30 PM faceoff BROADCAST LINK
Previewing tonight’s games
The game that MTSN is planning to broadcast is in BOLD.
Father Ryan (0-2-0) vs. Montgomery Bell (1-0-0) - 5:30 PM @ Centennial B
The Irish have scored four goals in their first two games from a total of 32 shots (18 against JPII two weeks ago, and 14 against the Rampage last Monday). The Big Red scored 10 goals from 43 shots against the Rangers in the only game they’ve played so far. The Irish have better goaltending than the Rangers, but, the rest of the team is just about even with Montgomery County. I think you know where I’m going with this.
Pick: MBA
Centennial-FRA (1-1-0) vs. Hendersonville-Beech-Lawson (1-1-1) - 7 PM @ Centennial B
The Cougars bounced back from their Opening Night 6-0 loss to Ensworth by beating Station Camp 3-0 two nights later. Hendersonville have gone win (over Indy), loss (to Franklin), and tie (with Brentwood) to start things off. The Commandos threw 43 shots at Andrew Sallee last Wednesday, and couldn’t get a seventh goal past him. They likely face Drew Stratton tonight. They won’t win that battle, either.
Pick: Centennial
Mt. Juliet-Wilson Central-Green Hill (0-2-1) vs. Ravenwood (1-0-0) - 7:40 PM @ Centennial A
After three games, the last two of which they’ve lost by five goals or more, the Bears look destined to play in the Hine Cup this postseason. The Raptors look destined to spend the season at or right near the top of the league. If the Bears couldn’t hold back Summit or Ensworth, they won’t do the same to the Raptors.
Pick: Ravenwood
Summit-Page (2-0-0) vs. Independence-BA-USN-Nashville Christian (0-2-0) - 8:30 PM @ Centennial B
The Spartans have scored 16 goals and allowed three in their first two games. The Eagles have scored one and allowed eight.
Pick: Summit
Franklin (3-0-0) vs. Montgomery County Rangers (0-3-0) - 8:30 PM @ Bellevue-Crisp
The Admirals were the first team to reach three wins on the season with their win over Rutherford last Wednesday. They’re aiming to be the first to win four games tonight. They have a great chance.
Pick: Franklin
