Notes for tonight’s game

The Rutherford Rampage are having their Senior Night ceremony; this is also their last game of the regular season.

Previewing tonight’s game

Tennessee Outlaws (3-2-0) vs. Rutherford Rampage (5-1-0) - 7:30 PM @ Antioch-North
If you’re a fan of a Tier 2 team that isn’t Rutherford, you’re an Outlaws fan tonight, because they are the only team potentially preventing the Rampage from claiming the Henry Hine Cup 1 seed. All Rutherford need is a tie, and they will be sitting pretty when the postseason comes around. The Outlaws, meanwhile, fresh off of a loss to Station Camp on Monday, can still get the 1 seed for themselves, but they have to win this game, then beat Brentwood next Monday. That’s a tall order, and it looks like that those two teams are their superiors. Outside of the loss to USN on December 6, the Rampage have been pretty steady in this second half. The question is, since it’s Senior Night for RuCo, could Abby Ricalday see any action in the crease at any point during this game? If the 1 seed were already sealed away, I could see it, but it’s not, so, that probably won’t happen unless the Rampage take a big enough lead where a sentimental goalie switch wouldn’t jeopardize a good result.

I’ll pick the Rampage to claim the 1 seed in style with a win.
