Recapping last night’s games
Centennial 4 (1-2-1), Tennessee Outlaws 2 (1-1-1)
Clive Keeler scored the game’s opening goal with just under 17 seconds left in the first period. Josh Kuehn then gave the Outlaws a 2-0 lead just near the midway point of the second. Nearly five minutes later, the Cougars took over the game. Aiden Gardner got them on the board with 2:53 left in the middle frame. Just 30 seconds later, Brendan Mitchell tied the game. And this time, Centennial took hold of the game, and kept their grip on it. Mitchell scored the winning goal just past the halfway point of the third, then added an empty netter to complete his hat trick. This is a big result for Centennial, because they have two very winnable games against Station Camp-Liberty Creek and Independence-Ravenwood 2 next week, and they have a big chance to firmly put themselves in the race for midseason promotion to Tier 1. It’s a critical loss for the Outlaws, who now have to face Ensworth-Nolensville-Lipscomb next week.
Next game for both teams
Tennessee Outlaws: Next Wednesday vs. Ensworth-Nolensville-Lipscomb - 7:30 PM @ Antioch-North
Centennial: Monday vs. Station Camp-Liberty Creek - 7:40 PM @ Centennial A
Brentwood 7 (1-3-0), Father Ryan 0 (2-1-0)
The Bruins emphatically snapped their three-game losing streak to start the season, absolutely dominating Father Ryan, who never managed to find a rhythm. Clayton Ellsworth scored the first goal just over three minutes into the first. Just over seven minutes later, Graham Engelhardt buried a rebound from a saved Brody Bohman shot. Nearly three minutes after that, Aidan Pustizzi found the top corner on the right-hand side of the net from the slot. Just 21 seconds into the second, Ellsworth scored his second goal of the game, an unusual shot from the blue line that got past Irish goalie Zach Fonnesbeck because he was screened by Engelhardt. Towards the end of the second, Jack Schultz made it 5-0 on a mini-breakaway. Schultz would add a second goal in the third to make it 6-0, chasing Fonnesbeck, before Zane Cesarone scored on a wraparound to bring the game to its 7-0 final.
Next game for both teams

Brentwood: Monday vs. Pope Prep-MLK-GCA - 6:50 PM @ Bellevue-Crisp
Station Camp-Liberty Creek 8 (1-3-1), Independence-Ravenwood 2 1 (0-4-0)
Station Camp-Liberty Creek collected their first win as a co-op, dominating the Eagles. The Bison scored their first two goals of the game inside the first minute of it, with McClain Gregory striking first 35 seconds in, then Dylan Karandjeff making it 2-0 24 seconds later. Station Camp wouldn’t score again until three minutes into the second, when Karandjeff scored again. Just past the midway point of the second, there were three goals scored within a 43-second span. First, Landric Mayeski scored Indy’s only goal. 23 seconds later, Connor Jenne scored on the power play, followed by Toby Mehaffy making it 5-1 20 seconds after that. In the third, the Bison scored three more goals, from Mark White, Mikey Baranyay, and Joey Siciliano, respectively. It’s a big win for the Bison, but, if both teams lose their next games on Monday, they will both confirm places in Tier 2 for the rest of the regular season, and Henry Hine Cup berths for the postseason.
Next game for both teams:
Station Camp-Liberty Creek: Monday vs. Centennial - 7:40 PM @ Centennial A
Independence-Ravenwood 2: Monday vs. Summit-Page - 8:30 PM @ Centennial B
Hendersonville-Beech-Gallatin 4 (2-1-2), Summit-Page 3 (2-1-0)
Braden Rose scored the opening goal just over five minutes in, with Preston Hart’s tally four minutes later ensuring that the game would be tied at 1 after 1. Summit took the lead right at the halfway point of the second period (I don’t know who scored the goal; for some reason, they’re not listed on the box score). 46 seconds later, Merrick Mott tied the game. Mott gave Hendersonville a 3-2 lead 95 seconds into the third, before two very late goals were scored within 25 seconds that decided the game: Hudson Halters made it 3-3 with 1:48 to go, before Gideon Drobnick scored the winner 25 seconds later. The Commandos close out a very impressive four-game stretch where they won two and tied two, and have firmly put themselves in the running for midseason promotion to Tier 1, but, they now sit on the sidelines for two weeks, as the other contenders start to make a push.
Next game for both teams
Hendersonville-Beech-Gallatin: November 1 vs. Independence-Ravenwood 2 - 8:40 PM @ Centennial A
Summit-Page: Monday vs. Independence-Ravenwood 2 - 8:30 PM @ Centennial B
Montgomery Bell 2 (4-0-0), Mt. Juliet-Wilson Central-Green Hill 1 (1-3-0)
Matthew Moore scored the opening goal just over two-and-a-half minutes in, before Trace Graham potted the winner near the end of the first. Carson Slocum scored Mt. Juliet’s only goal midway through the second, and the game became a goaltending battle from there, as the Big Red hung on. With this result, both MBA and Franklin clinch spots in Tier 1 for the rest of the regular season, and Predators Cup berths for the postseason.
