2023-24 GNASH season format

For the second consecutive year, 16 teams have been divided into two tiers, based upon which 2023 postseason tournament they played in. Each team will play the seven others in its respective tier once. Following the first half of the regular season, the 7th and 8th place teams in Tier 1 and the Top 2 teams in Tier 2 will automatically swap tiers for the second half of the regular season, as well as qualify for that respective tier’s postseason tournament; the 12 teams (six from each tier) that do not swap tiers for the second half of the regular season will also qualify for the postseason tournament of the respective tier that they stay in.

For the second half of the regular season, each team will once again play the other seven in its respective tier once. Each team’s record from only this seven-game stretch will determine its seed in whichever postseason tournament it will take part in.

The GNASH Cup will once again be awarded to the regular season champion, and for the second straight year, be contested among the six teams who play both halves of the regular season in Tier 1. The team that has the best record over all 14 regular season games will win the trophy.

The two postseason tournaments - the Predators Cup and Henry Hine Cup - will once again be double-elimination.
